“Swinging Fore Hope” Golf Tournament

On Monday, September 11, 2023, thirty-six teams gathered at Chickasaw Golf Course for the “Swinging Fore Hope” golf tournament hosted by Ann Marie Kelley. A little over two years ago, Ann Marie visited Kirkland Cancer Center for the first time and was diagnosed with a severe form of cancer in her blood. Ann Marie had a wonderful idea of starting the first annual Swinging Fore Hope golf tournament to benefit the patients here at KCC. She thought that it had the potential to raise approximately $20,000 for the new West Tennessee Healthcare Hope and Healing Foundation, which provides assistance for cancer patients in need in West Tennessee. Instead, she far exceeded that goal, raising $105,000 for the patient needs fund. This donation will help countless patients receive transportation to and from treatment, help with pharmaceuticals, and so much more. “This represents not just a donation but a symbol of hope, resilience, and community support. Together, we are making a difference in the lives of cancer patients from our own community, offering them a brighter tomorrow,” stated AnnMarie.
